How would one record an Ouya's footage for a let's play series? I'm thinking of starting one if I get time to.

I asked the same question with no replies, there are apps on the playstore that let you record the screen but on non tegra devices only :/

you need to get an external recording device since there's no software for the OUYA yet. If there was, I would imagine it would impact the performance, so it wouldn't be the best option anyway.

There's plenty of options from using your computer:

It's worth remembering you should make sure the game developers are happy for use screen captures from their games if you're doing long captures.

Yeah I use one of those as well. The only downside is that although there is no latency between the input and output signal, there is about a second delay before you get the video stream in the software that comes with it on your PC/laptop. So you kinda have to have a TV and a PC side by side to use it

    I use this - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It downgrades things down to 720p for everything, and doesn't allow for consistent HDMI recording for the OUYA, but it has worked occasionally.

Is it possible to grab simple images, with ONLY a software, without hardware (economically expensive) adds?

I'm a reviewer, and for my reviews I'll need images

I will be using this one as well.
It looks great, it's small and it's rather cheap.

Thanks! Looks like I'll have to get an external recorder as I have a laptop so the PCI ones won't work.

Also, I never thought about asking the devs about recording... Probably because I am one and I don't really care if people record my game
