Seconded on Number 1.
1. Increase the character limitation in post.
2. Implement a different kind of chatbox that connects to the DB of the forum. IRC is out of the window but there are others. Maybe FlashChat or ArrowChat?
3. Increase the avatar size to 120 x 160 pixels.
4. Tidy things up. (If wanted)
5. Alter the UserName Legend.
Why...
1. This is obvious. I find myself and a few others having to post multiple times in order to say what we want too. SwiftIllusion(along with any other developer) and the Columnist need this option ready beforehand.
This isn't optional Eddie, RAWR!
2. Getting a new Chatbox for emergencies and non-emergencies alike is always a good thing. People can (obviously) talk in real time and get answers to their questions with continues support if the FAQ doesn't help and Google fails.
3. This is optional but very interesting. On the past forums where I was, we increased the size of the avatar limit for whatever reason. This caused people to post more for better or for worse. I believe this has to do with gaining a greater identity for people to accommodate with.
4 & 5. Read the links.
Any suggestions?

- Perhaps an increase for the Columnist group at least. It would make sense for them to frequently make large posts.
- As somebody who frequents the chatbox, I'd love an upgrade. Personally, I'd choose IRC, but I've already heard Eddie's arguments against it and I can understand his point of view. FlashChat would mean that it wouldn't work on mobile devices, so ArrowChat would probably be better
- No opinion on this one, if I'd be fine with whatever avatar size is allowed
- This is a double edged sword. Yes, it would look much nicer without these thread redirects, however, speaking from experience as an admin on other forums, if you hide these redirects the people who made the original post often don't bother looking for them (even if there is a stickied thread about post moves). The original poster often ends up posting a duplicate or a "WHAR'D MAH POST GO?!!?" thread.
- Would be a great addition
Done. It has been increased by a factor of 10. Instead of a limit of 10,000 characters it is now 100,000.1. Increase the character limitation in post.
I'll look into it.2. Implement a different kind of chatbox that connects to the DB of the forum. IRC is out of the window but there are others. Maybe FlashChat or ArrowChat?
Done.3. Increase the avatar size to 120 x 160 pixels.
Please be more specific.4. Tidy things up. (If wanted)
How so?5. Alter the UserName Legend.
1. If it were to be implemented, I think this idea would be the "very least" side of things.
2. So ArrowChat, huh? I like the interface better anyways.
4. True it's a double edged sword but if people were to follow the rules, and staff were to be on top of it all. Wouldn't it work out in the better? I am kind of OCD about these types of things though, so this suggestion is merely to please it, lol.
5. Thank you Bag headed one :3

As for Arrowchat, they charge $45-$295 for the software and I am not even sure I like it. It reminds me too much of facebook, and I feel it would not be utilized as much, not being on the top of the site.
As for Flashchat, it won't work on mobile devices, and I know there are a lot of mobile users.
Remove the dummy threads that redirect you to their new location and instead just move them and put a "Post Moved?" sticky telling people where it'll most likely be.Please be more specific.
Let me see here.... When you're on the homepage and are looking for a specific person that you know that's in a particular group. You go to whichever UserGroup you're looking at and click it. This would bring up those members who are in that particular group. How so?
If you're asking me from a technician standpoint?... I don't remember.
