    What suxx about the Ouya

No. This is not just another hater's "The Ouya is crap"-post. On the other side some of you might be surprised I write this, because I was always quite positive about the Ouya.
At first let me explain what is NOT crappy about the Ouya.
    1. The games
Yes, a few are crap, but a lot of them are awesome. Also the Ouya was always about "everyone can write a game" and that was the main reason for me to support it. Who ever wants to play the next CoD or Battlefield should buy a PS4 or XboxOne.
    2. The delay
The delay itself was quite expected by me. When something is new most times the release dates get corrected to a later date. That has always been ok for me.

But now to the things that suck about the Ouya:
    1. Shipments are wide spread
I am not talking about the developers. That they need their consoles first is useful for us all. But while some backers got their consoles months ago, some are still waiting (like me). We all understand it is not easy to ship so much consoles at the same time, but three months?
    2. Communication
And this is the main disappointment. We were told, every backer will receive notifications weeks ago. Why did you do that? We did not get any notification. That would have been ok if we were just been told "could take a couple of weeks", but we were assured we all must have the notifications long before now. Just don't tease us with no reason.

The problem is: we don't know if there is a problem with our order or not. And when we mail the support we get an auto-response telling us auto-responses suck. Right. So why don't you even answer our email that reply to that mail after another week?

I really loved the idea of the Ouya from the beginning. I even wanted to publish a small magazine with reviews, which caused my boss to fire me (working on a "project not for my company") That ended in a new job better paid than before so quite went well and this project was never meant to pay my bills but just a hobby. So this is absolutely not Ouyas fault, I just want to explain why the Ouya has quite an effect to my life and why I am that disappointed about a project that I loved so much in the beginning.

To end this: I still believe the Ouya is a great concept and for all those who will buy it on Amazon etc. It will be just a great experience. But for us, who gave it birth, the lack of communication is very, very disappointing.

And if you dare to ship the Ouya to the stores before we backers got ours I will go berzerk.

Sorry for the rant but I had to write that down. I will forget nearly any anger when my Ouya is here, I think :-)
