It made me think that everyone could be reasoned with on a personal level if you just tried.

If I wanted to censor you, I could just do it. But I'm the Mod most likely to say, "I don't really think that's a problem," or, "A ban is a little much, just try sending them a PM instead and see if they straighten out". So I figure I should practice what I preach. There's more than one person on that staff list who would have been begging to ban you the second you questioned their authority. So thanks for proving my comparatively liberal way of conducting business to be far too nice.
Being a mod isn't a paying job. Being a mod is to moderate it's not about authority and that's your problem. Probably don't get much say at home so you try to take it out on others. No Buenos

You do realize there are a ton of ways to get around a ban right. If you want to ban me ban me. If you want to make rules that only positive thing can be said then make the rules. Don't just single people out because you feel like you have the "authority" and you don't like someone elses answer to the "will you forgive ouya?" Thread.

That is what you said right? That every time you come on here you see my post and makes it unenjoyable for.you so I have to stop. You do realize their are a bunch of people on here venting their anger don't you?

I want to be a mod so I can go around and tell people to only talk about the stuff I want to hear.

If you were to get banned I'm pretty sure we'd all know why: you make a point of being a jerk. Try toning it down a bit.

Can we please not do this in multiple threads? I'd love to handle it privately, but since you basically (not literally) told me to "F---off" last time I tried, that's clearly not an option. But I'd prefer that we not turn every thread on the forum into me trying to explain to you that you're becoming a problem. The very fact that you brought your problem with our private conversation here instead of going to Eddie is a perfect example of how you are doing harm to the community. No one wants to see this in multiple threads.

In order to moderate we need the authority to do so. You're right that it's not about throwing your authority around, but you are the only person who has ever even implied that I'm doing so. When RiotingSpectre was getting on the Mods nerves, I gave them a heads up too, and suggested how to avoid doing that. I can't help it that the Mod who you're annoying happens to be me, but I tried to make it clear that I wasn't threatening you only give you a heads up.

I don't want to ban you. I want you to tone it down. You are easily the loudest complainer, and every time you try to justify why you're so much louder than everyone else your reasoning makes no sense. Complain away, just do it in/at a reasonable volume like everybody else. I'm not having this issue with anyone else who said, "No," in that thread. I'm not having this issue with anyone else in any thread... Just you... Your behavior has become obnoxious. Please, tone it down.

I want to be a mod so I can go around and tell people to only talk about the stuff I want to hear.
I, honestly, don't care what you talk about. I can't imagine that anyone here has never complained about OUYA. We've all been let down, misinformed, or given the run around by them. I have a problem with the compound facts that... You're constantly negative... You're obnoxiously loud about being negative... And that you have no justification for being that much louder than everyone else about it. It is all three of those things together that has made me focus on you. I'm not an authoritarian telling everyone what they can and can't say. I'm a concerned citizen telling the guy who's talking too loud in the restaurant to use his inside voice.

If you would like to respond, then do it in a PM. I'm sure no one wants another thread of me trying to explain to you why your behavior is becoming (or at this point, has become) an issue. That's the kind of thing that can kill a forum. So I will not acknowledge further public replies on this topic.

Lol, I'm going to quote my second day.
Hi guys. I already left a partial introduction but what the hell.

Names Rioting Spectre, I specialize in video games such as the Sega Saturn and N64. So if you have any questions about video game consoles and the like, come to me and I'll give you answers backed up by years of experience and facts. I currently don't have a Ouya but am getting one at launch. I'm extremely truthful about my responses and tend to rub people the wrong way because of it... My mannerism are rather unique and my family and I have a really twisted sense of humor so just to let you know. I'm not a jerk but a poorly misunderstood person due to years of repression.

I'm currently being stalked by a mod on these forums for some reason. Whether he's after my Kitkats or my soul; he's not going to get either one of them.

    Nice to meet you, all.
It's weird that even back then I was stalked by a moderator (who shall not be named) and I had just joined a day ago when I made that post. Anyways, I think what happened is that when I joined I may have been ecstatic to get into the community because I've been watching it since nearly it's creation and had to much to say, and so much to post. That I ended up making the staff members thinking me as a zealous, post in every thread five-hundred times person who was a pest. While I quickly proved myself to be the opposite of that, the message didn't come across as quickly as I'd hope with the staff members.

Me and you have had our debates and while we agree to disagree, I still respect you nor do I think you're wrong about our debates. Maturity, freedom of speech, and expression are the name of the game here and I think we two members are the best example of that on the forums. I can't disagree with how fireballs is feeling as basically being told to "Shh because I don't like your posts" would rub me the wrong be too. You're the best moderator when it comes to the forums as you're without a doubt the heaviest (good) poster. When I posted a racial slur in Giana Girls and you asked me to edit it. I went and did it as soon as possible because I admittedly have to say, that my jokes can go too far sometimes.

I felt like you were one of the few people who actually gave me a chance and understood how I am. A person who means no harm, but due to the fact that she's human. She can make mistakes. If anyone is wondering if you haven't already figured it out. JCPRuckus is (probably) mentioning the incident I just described. The point I'm trying to make is that if you give each other a chance and value each others opinions then there wouldn't be a sort of problem.

Ultimately, I can't blame neither one of you for feeling the way you do, but just taking a deep breath and talking to one another in private would most likely solve any problems.

This is another thing that bugs me. You staff members need to talk to us regular members if we are doing something "wrong". Don't go and hide in your little staff forum, gang up on us, twist the story around with your one-sided viewpoint of us and get us in trouble. It isn't fair as sometimes it's a misunderstanding on your part. There's a reason why I put that in my intro, and have been saying it ever since.

Rioting, you're always wrong, so it just goes without saying these days!

Joking aside, if your posts are getting moderated, that's the first sign you're doing something wrong and you should maybe take a step back when it happens and try and think for yourself what you're doing wrong rather than relying on being told (after all, we're not psychic, so we can't tell what you might be about to post). Beyond that, I think mods do try to PM people when they have a particular concern, and of course, you can always PM a mod if you want clarification on the rules.

I don't know what to "stop doing" because you guys don't talk to me about it. There's no reason why you can't tell me specifically what I'm continuously doing wrong if I obviously don't know; in order for me to improve. If the person(also known as me at this point) doesn't know what the hell is going on, then you'll have to speak up.

Where is the actual rules list?

Despite the current goings on, I tend to agree that approaching the person should be the first option. Still the Mods are hardly secretly plotting against you in the staff forum. More often than not it leads to whatever action the initiating Mod wanted to take being avoided when they would have just gone ahead and done it otherwise. Believe me, you don't that to stop. How else could I defend you when you piss everybody else off... Lol

Remember, different staff are active in different timezones. For myself and ady, we both live in the UK (and I believe likewise for a couple of the other mods), so we're more likely to respond to a reported post or mod request while you're sleeping. So although we appear less active, we are still monitoring the forums regularly

We're aware of this fact. At least I am, because I'm constantly reminded how foreign you and AdyCarter are.
