So far the aesthetic is pretty good and it looks like it could be a great skyroads tribute, but those controls... they just aren't precise and don't feel right... but you said you're working on it so I'll keep an eye out on this thread and give it another chance on the next update... I used to LOVE skyroads, so I certainly want this to succeed.
