There is absolutely nothing to forgive in my case. I got my Ouya a week or so ago, cheaper than retail even including customs. Looking forward to an exciting future with it.![]()
The reality is Ouya's issues stem from communication and shipping issues. As far as what the system is capable of (emulation, sideloading, mediabox, cool games, ok graphics, easy modification, and a place for Devs to place games for $99) seem to be okay and work or WILL work as advertised in the near future. So the question is: Do you think that once you have your Ouya and the upcoming updates, do you think it was worth the $99 and will you forgive Ouya going forward for it's obvious growing pains?

Yes, about as soon as I got the system and ensured that I had a good controller, all was forgiven (about shipping and prelaunch blunders).
I'm actually pretty quick to spring back into happiness when problems get fixed. The game library currently bugs me, but if it somehow wasn't a problem anymore, I doubt I'd care much that it ever felt like one.

I gave Ouya all of me one night.
Now? No one calls. No one sends an email.
It's just... Tragic.

I was lucky enough to play my Brothers Ouya ..(my Ouya is currently shipping) it's located in GA right now (should be here tomorrow)) and drop boxing xbmc, and emulation, and for some odd reason Trains and Zombies is a huge Hit for my family...and beast boxing i see the potential, and after tweeting Julie and she stated that the User Interface will be updated and smoother before launch, I think for $99 dollars it's worth every penny.
In order for me to forgive them they have to come out with one of the best mo-f'cking exclusive indie game ever made (Soul Fjord?). They have to add a friends list and a messaging system. They need to relate themselves more with the fans/devs (Isn't that Kelle's job?). Finally, they need to fix all the hardware/software issues that they're having. If they can do that, then and maybe then I will consider forgiving them.
I'm with starfighter. OUYA delivered my devkit on time and it did everything I asked of it. They've been incredibly supportive to me as a developer and the OUYA has given me some fantastic opportunities I'd have never had were I developing for PC or mobile.
My issue is more with the marketing and PR of OUYA, which is... not how I'd do it. It's just such a shame they've not been able to take the excellent experience I've had with them as one of the 1,000 or so early developers, and scale that to the 60,000 regular backers
