End of another month and still no OUYA. This started me thinking about the overall experience with the system / company so far.
Promised delivery dates with their outcomes.


Developers date (12/28?) (±800 units): Pass

Kickstarter Units, promised March (±65k): Fail (>5% delivered)
April: Fail (>25% delivered)
May: (reported 100% shipped) ?

Feb 5th Preorder Units, promised April (±8k): Fail (0% delivered)
May: Fail (0% delivered)
June: ?

Post Feb 5th Preorder, promised June 4th: Fail

Launch Date (June 4th): Fail
June 25th: ?


OUYA has promised and failed to meet those promises to EVERY SINGLE GROUP of non-developer orders. This is only system deliveries, not the gripes from early backer / early website reviews about poor ui speed, spotty joystick mapping and the sticky button issue (fixed? I hope). Can we all agree this has been the worst public launch of a system ever? Here's to OUYA kicking it up a notch and delivering a great experience once our systems all arrive.
