I think I'll just sit my fine ass down and keep my expectations in a realistic fashion, thank you very much.

Only this counts for me. Your preorder number isn't important in all this.

It may have different nature that we don't know.

Actually, there were only 58,221 consoles for backers (842 for developers and the top tier, which I assume is also dev consoles).

1770 backed the $10 tier (no console, just username), 1898 backed the $25 tier (no console, just username and founder logo), leaving 1527 who backed cash only and did not choose a reward tier.

So her backer number there is BS, but most of what I have seen come from her has been BS so her statements are par for the course.

And if there is indeed 68,000 OUYAs (give or take 100), that would be about 9779 preorders (10621 if the dev consoles were not part of the 68,000 ouyas number)

lol I am trying to be realistic, I really am and reality is not very pretty at this time. If just one pre-order were to get a shipping email by the end of this week my hopes and expectations would be lifted so less see?

just took a look at that WallStreet Journal link. WOW, can she be any more PR-double-speak?

WSJ: Are you shipping more controllers than consoles?

UHRMAN: Those are ongoing conversations, part of that is going to be demand-driven. They saw gamer and developer excitement around OUYA. They saw excitement and felt partnering with us would be great for their customers. We haven’t signed off yet.
ummm, wouldn't the correct answer be "Yes". Its obvious that people will want more controllers at retail, as is any indication with the current consoles being shipped out to backers. In fact, most of her answers remind me of people who appear on the 24/7 news shows who are asked simple yes/no questions, but give wishy-washy answers that are not even answers at all, just marketing and PR nonsense.

And that Tested website apparently can't do the math and see that there are NOT 63,000 backers getting consoles.

apparently someone with a pre-order just got a shipment email:

Hopefully this is part of a wave of emails about to go through?

I got an email like that yesterday, it says that the ouya is in the distribution center, but hasn't shipped yet (no date or eta on when it will ship). Also they said it will arrive in about 2 weeks give or take a day or two.

I can confirm that I have just received the "My OUYA is Shipping" email from OUYA. I was a pre-February Pre-order. Looks like I will have mine in 2 weeks.

I can finally track my OUYA (w/ 2nd controller) via DHL's website. It left the shipping facility in Georgia about a hour and a half ago. Hopefully that means I will be getting it tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning.
