    Alien Space Retro

Alien Space Retro is a dual-stick space shooter. The game is currently out for iOS, but still in development for Ouya and hopefully to be released sometime in June.

    The game features:
-4 game modes (30 level campaign, survival, "Lost in Space", and "Defender")
    -upgradable ship systems
    -11 different weapons
-many different enemy types with their own weapons and abilities

Here are some gameplay videos of the game. (These are not captured on the device, but reflect the current look of the gameplay, HUD, etc, as intended to be on the final Ouya hardware output to a 16x9 display.)

It was the weekend, it usually get pretty quiet.

How long is it taking you to Port from iOS? Has it been pretty easy, or have you run into a couple of difficulties?

I played the hell out of this game on my Ipod Touch. It was Ipod was a gift so I just had to roll with the punches and hope nobody thought I was a soulless Apple supporter. Anyways... This game is hard as hell but will keep you coming back for more. Retro is a key word here as it brings you back to a simpler, more brutal and rewarding time.

Day one purchase in my book.

It is better to have gamed and lost, than to never game at all!

The main thing that's taking up my time for the port is the game's frontend. The entire frontend was done with Apple's Interface Builder. So, I'm writing a new UI system right now. Once that's mostly working I'll get to the part of actually getting it to run on Android. The game already runs on iOS and Windows 7. Actually, the videos are captured on Windows using an Xbox360 controller. =)
