I'm just considering this converter as a easy way to get audio out, for people who want to use OUYA as a media center.

The DXextreme hdmi-vga w/audio adapter does not work. It had video for a minute the first time but with no audio. Then when I restarted the console, it never worked again. So don't buy it.

It'll get here tomorrow and i'll report back if it works. It's externally powered so hopefully it will yield a positive result, a lot of good reviews on amazon so I gave it a shot. The adapter i stated from dxExtreme.com doesn't work with the Ouya, seems it's not powerful enough to power the adapter to output any audio or video. I know this is true because I used a different HDMI source (dvd player) and it worked flawlessly (but the picture quality was TERRIBLE). So my advice is get a ext powered converter box like this one. I believe there's even a DVI version as well.

Had the same issue since I'm using Ouya next to my laptop, so I connect to my second monitor which don't have sound input.
Since I'm in Portugal, the only product I manage to get from Amazon was this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009D70JIY
I wasn't expecting paying so much for such thing, but didn't had much choice. The product is great so far, but I need to test it better.
