Hardware: Audio solution for Video-only displays

I've been snooping around the interwebs for audio solutions concerning video-only HDMI displays (computer monitors) and here's a helpful thread I found on the Ouya forums! Enjoy!

It all depends on how much space you have in your room. That would be an option if your monitor doesn't have audio out (all 3 of mine do). Another option would be to hit some pawn shops. For the same price as that switch, you can typically get a home theater receiver. This would let you switch between multiple HDMI sources, output the sound to your computer speakers or hook up any speakers you have laying around, and sound a heck of a lot better than the bargain basement DAC that's going to be found in the switch. Of course, HT receivers are large and bulky and create clutter for those who don't want/need the features. Also, if you're not experienced in shopping at pawn shops, always ask for their best price because the sticker price is usually for suckers.

You should be able to use USB or Bluetooth speakers. Both are supported natively within Android, so I'd imagine they'd work fine with the OUYA. Or you can go with something like this.

I'm guessing USB Headphones could work too... Anyone have any evidence of USB Headphones working with Ouya?

    I already have these: http://www.plantronics.com/ca/produc...uId=sku6010014

Something like this might be of use too for a little less $

That won't work because bluetooth speakers don't work with OUYA.

    Edit:
I couldn't get my bluetooth speakers to work before, though they would pair, but in the current firmware I just got it to connect and work. Note that there is over 2 seconds delay however, at least with my Jawbone Jambox.

This works also. I use one on my Wii U to get optical audio out:

There's an option for analogue audio and digital audio
