Has anyone been able to get mame4all/mame4droidreloaded to work off the same roms folder? I have all my games roms for each emulator in separate folders on a USB drive. Whenever i set both these emulators up and direct them to the roms directory on usb they don't see the roms. I end up with a folder for each emulator within the MAME roms folder on the USB.
USB/MAME ROMS/Mame4all/.....
USB/MAME ROMS/MAME4droidreloaded/...
The only way it works is to copy my roms into the roms folder within these folders
USB/MAME ROMS/Mame4all/roms
USB/MAME ROMS/MAME4droidreloaded/roms
This basically means a have a duplicate roms (taking up twice as much memory) folder for each MAME application rather than just the same one I can "point" each MAME emulator at.
@CamelJR - Did you move the complete MAME4all folder to external HDD from SD card (internal)? Does it still run OK? Can other apps be moved to external storage? Great news regarding 2 controllers!

I copied the complete folder to a hdd, put all the roms there, and set that as my rom dirctory. Seems to work great!

Only problem I'm having is saving/loading a state. The text appears: "Select a position to save to" and I'm not sure what to do next. It seems that I should enter a name for the state using a keyboard, but this doesn't work. No matter what I try, I get the error "Failed to open file for save operation". Could this be because I'm running off a hdd?

How's it goin?
I can't confirm that 2 player-support works properly. Eventhough I have the latest build of Mame4droid Reloaded and both controllers are detected succesfully via Gamepad Autodetection, I have noticed that the Player 1's R1 and R2 Buttons is recognized as the Player 2-Start Button. The Start Button of Player 2's Pad isn't mapped at all. The Coin Button doesn't seem to work on neither of the controllers. I am using two PS3 controllers for play and the Ouya one for navigating.
Most games don't suffer from this issue, but games like MVC sure do and become unplayable with 2 players. I hope that this issue gets adressed - Mame is one of best emulators on android and I'd love to see my friends and me playing playing some classics together on Ouya.

Just go into the mame menu (the thin on screen menu that lets you speed up games, and configure the controls for other players, all I needed to change was insert coin and start for other players ( i used L2 and R2) can confirm works with 4 players using 3 other ps3 pads no problem.

That actually did it! Thanks for the heads up

@Prop: I did the same so it would work with PS3 controllers. Also, make sure your hdd is fat32 (cluster size 64kb) or the save states won't work. I had problems with this for awhile...

Yeah, I'm using a fat32 formated stick. Saves work fine - thanks!

can someone pm me with the latest version of this .apk file? I have tried to pull it off the Google Play store and it keeps telling me I don't have a device, yet I have three android phones and two tablets and have used it in the past???
