Apparently the buttons get stuck, when they are pressed too hard.

From the looks of things, it looks like the demonstrator is kinda pressing the buttons in and to the side to make them get stuck. Not something that won't be fixable in future releases, and not something I think will cause gamers many problems, unless you really like pushing the button hard![]()
That's exactly the same controller issue that's been brought up everywhere else, it's not new. Press a button all the way down and to the side and it can get stuck under the faceplate, requiring another press to unstick it. And I wouldn't call one issue "more issues"![]()
It looks as if it's the aluminum plate keeping the button from rising. As a quick fix/mod I'll probably just take a large drillbit that will open that hole up by perhaps 1/32" or so and pass through a few times in each hole. Certainly not something desirable, but it's a lot less complicated than modding the Xbox 360's D-pad into something usable. Been there, done that.

It's not more controller issues, it's the same two we've been tracking since day one. There's nothing wrong with the buttons or joystick, it's just an issue with the battery plate not sitting correctly. All they need to do is fix the faceplate so it sits better. Worst case scenario, we'll see third party replacements for a buck or two a piece.
Frankly, I think the magnetic faceplates were a poor design choice from the getgo, but what's done is done.
The magnetically-held faceplates don't have that issue on the developer controllers, not sure what changed when they made the faceplates aluminum instead of cheap plastic.
But that does show a design flaw. If the buttons move just a bit, then the hole needs to not allow the buttons to stick.I would test it just like he did and find something like this. Either they change the holes need to be bigger, make the buttons not wiggle, or just do both and "tighten" the buttons up. Also now we see a right stick with a click, before we saw on this forum a left stick having a click; so they have two design flaws and the stick clicking seems to be random. So I am kind of glad I will wait till June and they fix these issues.

It's happening because the faceplate is lifting off of the controller. Perhaps the stronger magnets will solve the problem.... perhaps...
