    I just hate that you have to pay to get the ability to revive where you're at. Yes, they give you a few freebies but later in the game they will go quickly.

    Sometimes I make it near the bottom of a dungeon out of sheer luck only to die at the boss. Do I want to do the whole dungeon again, or revive at the boss? If you want to revive, thats a dollar right there.

    Playing this drained my wallet while I was out of work. The altars/talents cost a lot of money relative to what you are able to make without grinding forever or spending real cash.

    Still, fun game with unique gameplay. Just wish it was a "purchase once" type game instead of a "nickel and dime you every chance we get" style.

    I was shocked and appaled by the price of revives. I almost deleted the game.

    Then I resolved to play as far as I could without ever buying a revive-- I discovered that I could really get quite far, and I had a lot of fun. I count this as one of my favorite OUYA games.

    Rather than thinking of this as an expensive game, I now think of it as a really really hard game that lets you pay money to cheat.

    EDIT: I am thrilled that the new update removes the pay-for-revives feature

    Looks like the game was updated with missions. I don't see revives for purchase anymore.

    Here's the full announcement of the update from their facebook:

    "Hey all!

    Just letting you know that DDD 1.1.0 is now live on Ouya.

    Because the previous version was 1.0.0, this includes a LOT of changes, including:

    The mission system
    The scoring system
    Rebalancing
    A new revive mechanism
    Everything else inbetween
    It also fixes a few Ouya-specific bugs, mostly related to switching out of the game by pressing the Ouya menu button.

    If you have any questions about this, please get in touch. If you do find a but - let us know on DDDfeedback@bossastudios.com, and we'll do our best to fix the issue.

    i went through and read as much as i could find about this game. it seems the price was 2.99 but is now 4.99. can anyone tell me what the purchase will unlock?

    It will unlock the rest of the game You only get to do up to I believe 3 - 5 dungeons, which is far from all of them. Plus you get the endless Deep Dungeon of Doom!

    Either I was living under a rock or the dev didn't advertise this at all, but I missed it. I was waiting for a price drop before I considered it. But the basic gameplay doesn't really grab me for $4.99. A price of $2.99 would have been about right.

    I was playing this the other day, and I really wish that there was an option to resize the screen back how it was before the update. Before the update, the game filled the entire screen, now it has a rather large margin of "wallpaper" around the edge.

    I assume that this was done to deal with safe-zone problems, but for those of us with good TVs where every single pixel is always visible, it would be really nice to have an option.

    Can anybody suggest a strategy for beating the boss with the vines at the top of the Zakkum Tree?

    I have gotten really good at working my way up the tree, but I always get wiped out very quickly by the boss's vines.

    I usually reach the top with the crusader or the mercenary, with a build emphasizing both attack power and agility.

    Also, is it just me, or is doing perfect-timing-combos much harder than it used to be? In evenings of play, I have only successfully done ONE combo.
