Fist of Awesome - I Fight Bears

Hi guys,

I'm the dude behind FIST OF AWESOME. Here's my stock blurb about the game:

FIST OF AWESOME is a time-travelling-lumberjack-em-up of epic proportions. It stars Tim Burr as a man out of time, caught up in a needlessly convoluted plot to enslave humanity by populating history with homicidal wild animals. FIST OF AWESOME gleefully conjures up nostalgic memories of the likes of Final Fight, Streets of Rage, and other fondly remembered brawlers from the 1990s golden age of scrolling beat 'em ups.



There's a 2-level teaser build up now on the OUYA store under the name A BIT OF A FIST OF AWESOME. You can find it in the Fight! section.

A BIT OF A FIST OF AWESOME is completely free and contains no paid elements whatsoever. The two levels compromise about 20% of the story mode of the game, and roughly 20 minutes of gameplay. The full game will contain a story mode with somewhere near 10 levels, and a deep arena mode featuring challenges and over 16 unlockable playable characters.

I've no firm details for how the final game will be released, but it's likely I'll retire A BIT OF A FIST OF AWESOME and replace it with the full FIST OF AWESOME. The full game will be unlocked with a single in-app purchase, and the free portion will be roughly equivalent to the contents of A BIT OF A FIST OF AWESOME.

The first release of FIST OF AWESOME will hopefully take place in May, with an updated GRIZZLY EDITION featuring 4-way local multiplayer released as a free update later in the year.

Thanks everybody! I've spent a crazy amount of the last year working on this game, hearing people say nice things is a massive relief!

I'm not sure how much it will be yet, probably something like £3/$4. About the price of a cup of coffee and a doughnut.

As of right now there are no punch-able bunnies in the game, got to save something for the sequel! If PETA do hate on the game it'll give me loads of free marketing so I don't really mind
