"I have to return some video tapes." -Patrick Bateman
From what I've read, the sticking analog stick is the right analog and it's being caused by the battery panel not aligning correctly. And, it's not the stick "sticking" so much as it is the stick catching on the the part of the circle that doesn't align properly (the circle around the analog stick is split by the battery cover). The only thing I've read about the left analog were the dead spots that the user review on this site spoke of, and it turned out that it's a software issue, not a hardware issue.
They just put a new video "hands on" with the OUYA on joystiq and one of the first lines out of the guys mouth that did the video was something like... "All the backers should have their own version of the console already".
After I got done laughing out loud, I posted in the comments just so they were clear on whats really going on with the situation.
Just saw it to also was like wtf (:
Happend to get response from ouya support today partly about something else, but anyhow see below. Here's the current take on the status from the support:
Ouyasupport:
Well this is going to be done do not be worried.
I understand everyone wants their OUYA'S.
OUYA, Inc.
Me:
And also how will u be

So I guess that shipping more and more everyday was all BS
Man if I was Ouya I would be focusing on having units built up then shipping them out I know that bad for us but moving more man power to building would be more crucial now then trying to do both at once. I know that sucks for us awaiting units as shipping becomes a lower priority, but if they plan to get back on the ball they need to get a stockpile built before shipping these as it takes more time to build a unit then it does to package and ship a unit, If you have a stock pile of units built all you have to do is go down the list confirm order bundles then slap a shipping label and await the post man to pick them up this can easily be done with a smaller team working during any down time the factory may present(down time happens I worked in electronics production factory before as an internship). this sucks for me as I have been working on a game for this unit as well as a Custom case design for this Unit but waiting for the unit to get here so i can measure certain part with my calipers. but for now I at least can test it on the dev unit my school has available.
If I was the lead production manager over this line i wouldn't of accepted the contract without letting them know i want at least 2-4 weeks time for build up... then i'd start focusing on shipping. Ouya may have been told they would need time to build up before shipping and this information has been shipped on and they merely shipped whatever units out asap so they could say hey look we shipped, or they are making sure they have units built up for the retail release before shipping there units out for pre orders wouldn't be surprised if this is whats happening (seen things like this happen.) as a bad retail launch is worse press as a bunch of angry retailers canceling orders due to unfilled orders on contracted date is a bad thing... Honestly i just wish OUYA was being a little more transparent on this matter to many un knowns are leading to a lot of speculations.
