Super Excited for the OUYA Launch!! Changes taking place here :)

Hey guys, just wanted to say that I am super excited for the OUYA launch tomorrow. I've been awaiting this day for a long time now

In the mean time you will probably see some minor changes around the forums, as we get ready for the influx of developers and gamers that will be coming our way.

If you have any suggestions on how we can make this forum better, more interactive, user friendly, or easier to use, please let me know.

Who else can hardly wait for the launch?

I'm thinking about having a "Specific Game" folder and "Specific App" folder. This would allow for 1 thread for each game and 1 for each app. Then all other discussion would be moved to the "General OUYA Discussion" folder. I would then start another folder for "OUYA Support / Tech Issues/ Help" or something along those lines. How does this sound to everyone?

If possible, you should make Specific Game Discussion and Developer Projects into Released Game Discussion and Upcoming Game Discussion.

Look at a site like TouchArcade's forums for more ideas on structure. It's organized very well. (You might also want a giveaway forum, etc.)

Followed OUYA since its early days on kickstarter but ashamed to say I wasn't a backer but I did pre-order one with 2 x pads for delivery sometime in April

Really looking forward to the launch and I hope there's some big AAA game announcements like Shadowgun Deadzone etc. OUYA really needs some AAA games to get people talking

Hmm... maybe just one all-purpose one for the apps until things pick up. Unlike games, I don't see a lot of applications being released right off the bat. I like the idea of the combination of the games and applications though. Possible implementing in the future, perhaps?

OUYA support could probably just go in general discussion.

For now, I think one App Discussion Folder is fine, but you could always add a new subforum tomorrow. The thing about upcoming/released subforums is that a mod should really close a thread once the game releases.

The way it is now, Developer Projects is pretty redundant because it's just upcoming games. There's no reason for upcoming games to be posted both in that subforum AND the specific game discussion one. Plus, if you're just looking at released games, you can just check out the games on the store without having to look into the thread.
