Our indie monster boxing game was just submitted and approved
as an OUYA launch title!

This is a first-person monster boxing with customizable boxing gear.

You're Char, a lowly human with a patchy monster costume
and a dream of fighting in the Beast Boxing Leagues into which
humans are forbidden to enter. A washed-up pig coach offers
his help after you defeat him, and you set off on a quest for
strength, fame, and respect for humans.

Be warned: this game is really freakin' hard.

leagues, get access to all gear, and participate
in the Trials of Endlessness (with leaderboards)
- Item Shop (see note below)

I should also mention that this is the first version of Beast Boxing that has in-app purchase in the Item Shop. Please note that difficulty has NOT been changed at all from the desktop version - it's the same game, but it's still both super tough AND possible to win without buying anything. It's a serious experiment to see if this series can offer those options to gamers that like them, and I'd welcome all feedback if and when you try it out.

Good to see. Is this the first confirmed launch game? Anyways this was on my famous list of games I would buy and what you are offering is what I expect things to maybe develop over time. What price will the full version cost? Can you unlock more leagues as you go along or is it an all or nothing approach?

Sorry for the delay in answering your questions, @tickling! I must have forgotten to subscribe to updates, and I've been at GDC for a couple of days.

Anyway, thanks for your interest! Now that the store's up, I can say that the lite version offers the first league (3 characters) to play, supports Easier mode, and you can try out buying gear with the first two upgrade sets. Basically, it's a really full-featured demo that should give you a taste of all the features (and challenge!) of the game. The full version includes all four leagues, endless mode, newgame plus all six armor upgrade sets, and is priced at a one-time $4.99 unlock. There are other IAPs, but they're completely optional and there's no energy system or separate currency, so don't worry about that if it's not your thing.

Everyone else, thanks for your interest and support! I put in a ton of work to this port to make it as intense, responsive, and fun as possible and I'm excited that it's a high profile launch title.

$4.99 for the full game? This is outrageous! Who would price something so high? Just kidding

It annoys me how A LOT of people on the app store/play store refuse to buy anything if it isn't free or priced at $0.99. Anyway, I'll definitely be buying the full game whenever I get my OUYA (probably not till August). Been following this game since it was first announced for the OUYA [:

$4.99 is a fair price for a quality product/game. Hell if people don't like it then I think they've got into the wrong console market and should go and fork out $60-100 for a PS3 or Xbox 360 title. I for one will be buying this game when my Ouya arrives, which will hopefully be in the next few weeks. I agree that this should be considered a high profile launch title as it looks visually great as well as challenging and fun to play.
