Keep Ouya the Main Media Center For Your TV - Showbox

Ever since I got Showbox working on my Ouya (with some elbow grease at times) it has been the main thing I turn on every day for the past few years. Watch most movies before they hit Blu-ray, massive movie list, and as many tv shows. More then then that it updates you on latest releases and if you fav a tv show it allows you to see what episodes you have not watched yet, or more matter of fact, what episodes have come out since you fav'd it. It even self updates. Also the "A" button backs out of popups quite nicely.

If you live outside the USA you would need a VPN. I would say Tubro VPN works well enough, make you select San Francisco (works most reliably). If you can't stream even after selecting that you might have to power cycle your Ouya, it happens.

Hmm... "totally free", files hosted in Russia... not really trustworthy. Spyware?
So many games, so little time...

After we got Kodi, there was no reason to use any other program.

I'm not into this media center thing. I got a Shield TV that does a wonderful job, but now we have a new TV and everything is installed out of the box.

    I’m with Retrowurst on this.
Sure, it's nice to make use of your OUYA, but wouldn’t it be a bit of a shame to inevitably burn it out without playing all the awesome games that are available for it, just because you wanted to watch videos with it?
There are more suitable (and frankly, nowadays, faster and cheaper) devices that will be better put to this purpose.

Save your OUYA for OUYAing, and grab a cheap Android dongle for video stuff.
