Just tried Retro City Rampage DX. Works like a charm out of the box. Even comes with a nice highres Icon.

"Sonic The Hedgehog" from Sega works fine, but you need a WiFi connection when installing it. Controller supported right from the start.

I tried out SPPD and you are unable to shoot on the Forge. No right trigger support.

That's true. That's why you have to configure the controller immediately at first launch. It's very tricky, it took me several attempts, but if you are patient, you can map shooting to another button.
