I just got this game and I really like it; will probably buy pretty soon. I am glad, though, that updates are planned, because it can be pretty buggy. Primarily the sprite flashing, but sometimes the pause menu doesn't work, either. At any rate, it's a great platformer, probably the best I've seen on Ouya (or Android in general, for that matter).

I hope you guys also develop future games for Ouya, because I really enjoy this one.

Update: Oh, also, sometimes the game doesn't save my progress, so I have to replay levels.

Another update: Bought the full version a couple of hours ago (it's a great price), and I also had a problem with it hanging on a loading screen after buying it. It worked when I did the "shop" section, though, just not on the world map.

I imagine I'll probably buy the extra levels at some point, too; great game.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We need to look into your problem with the game not saving your progress. Can you tell me where this happens ?

And the loading screen after buying is strange, should not happen. We assume it is something that is happening with the Ouya server.

Apart from that, we hope that you enjoy the game, the graphics etc.

Being a huge fan of the original game on the Amiga, this was the first game I downloaded and bought on Ouya.
Love the remixed music (really sticks in your head and is quite hummable I tell ya) and the graphics are wonderfull too. I do prefer to play it with a PS3 controller though as it seems to be more responsive than the Ouya one, I appreciate the game supporting of this!

There's one problem though. Last week my Ouya somehow "crashed" (dunno how else to call it) and I couldn't log in or even get to the main screen. I tried everything to get it working again, asked ouya support (6 days later still no answer )), but nothing worked.
Only thing left to do was factory reset it via the advanced settings. This worked, but all data and apps were gone of course.

I re-downloaded all stuff I bought and most games still "knew" I purchased it before. When I wanted to play Giana however, it didn't recognize me as a buyer. So I am stuck with the demo now. :-(.
I know it's just a 2 dollar game and I'd happily buy it again, but isn't there something you guys can do about this?
Are purchase records kept at Ouya only or do you have them too?

    Hope you can clarify this.

    Hi Mogalius,

that does not sound very nice at all ! I give the info into our technical support and I try to get in touch with Ouya support as well.
Unfortunately we do not see any buyer information (which of course is good regarding data protection as well).

I looked into the crash reports the system should send us but there it is all empty.

As soon as I hear something I will let you know. sorry about the inconvenience.

Ok, I have an answer for you ! You can freely download the title again. You will not be charged again according to the Ouya support ! Please let me know if you will be charged again and I will take care of it.

Hi studio Kasaa, today finally my Ouya arrived and I tried your game.

Well, let me say that this game is really playable... it has a slow pace, but's OK, not all the platforms must run-like-mad with a Sonic-style.
The visual style is cool, the HD does not make it worse thanks to your re-work.
The problem is what I noticed days ago from the videos, and now I can see it clearly on my TV. The Giana sprite seems well animated, but is still flickering. I know you're working on that, I hope you can correct that problem soon. I'm sure you'll sell so many extra copies perfecting those things.
    Keep up the good work,
    Out

The only thing keeping me from buying it are those small glitches. When they iron it out, I'll certainly buy it.

I agree pretty much what the latest posts have said. It's got the the makings of a great platformer.

Despite the somewhat sluggish control, flickering main sprite, not so great framerate and missing retro levels, I can see how this will be very appealing. The difficulty ramp seems perfect - and I'm assuming after the first island, it will become a lot more difficult. I hope all the problems get addressed, because like the two Sonics, it would be disappointing to let a good platformer get hindered by these glaring issues.

No worries guys ! We are working on that but as you probably see the Ouya is not our main target at the moment and money needs to be earned on other platforms at the moment. At the end we are talking about the price of a beer, a coffee, some good sweets.. you name it ;-) The flickering only happens on the Ouya and not on iOS or other Android devices. As written before we need to redo the whole animation only for the Ouya, which we know how it will happen. I am sure that you guys understand that and as soon as we have done the work on the new iOS and Android version we will take care of the Ouya again.

From what you see, is the problem caused by the Tegra3? Maybe the Nexus7 shows thaesame glitch? I don't know... however a sad news. Hope for a perfected game. The price isn't a problem, if the game is good and "clean", people will buy it.
If the game shows bugs and glitches, is losing his potential.
For sure, today Ouya isn't a "big sack of money" for all you developers.
I respect your targets... however hoping for a patch
