So I know people are using phones to act as Homepass or there 3DS systems. Is it possible to make an pp that turns the Ouya into this? I have no programming skills of my own so this is just an idea to get more use out of this system, that I would like to see

Homepass acts as a hub, which gathers player data as they walk by, and shares it with other 3DS users, via the StreetPass technology.
It can also be used to create fake passes.
Basically, if you don't go out, don't meet real people, and generally don't get any REAL street passes, then it's a good way to increase your odds.

... Speaking as someone who's housebound and sick of the sight of the same 4 walls, I say that if you CAN get out, then you SHOULD get out.

I like the idea of going out, not so much the homepass/streetpass thing, feels creeperish I think. It is like the next level of facebook only "hey, you are now my friend because we walked past each other at some point in life heh heh heh.."
    Thanks for the information

OUYA doesn't really have a friends list or anything similar, so I would say a homepass wouldn't do much for it..

A lot of Homepass users get bashed for not going out if they complain about not getting passes however even if you go to a highly populated area such as a mall I personally tend to come back empty. The only time where I have ever gotten streetpasses is at conventions. Anyways this was an idea I am interested in seeing happen but don't have the skills or know how to do.

Well homepass is not intended for Ouya to begin with its for 3DS. And you really arent adding random strangers to your friends list more like sharing game data, high scores maybe they give you a free item to help with your game that kind of thing. However they have produced games which can only be played by collecting these passes. So if you dont live in Japan or near a convention your up a creek without a paddle.

Or if you don't live in a densely-populated, high income, metropolitan area with lots of people under age 30. If you live in suburban America (and don't creep around schools) then you can go out walking and meeting people all you like, but you can still pretty much forget about getting anybody on Street Pass (except during special events like Street Pass weekends, when all the McDonald's and Best Buys in North America essentially become Homepasses).

    Bingo.
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."
