A few changes in preparation for the launch

Contest folder and Games folder are game. I merged all the posts in the "Games" folder with those in the "General OUYA Discussion" folder. This is because we weren't allowing specific games discussion in that "Games" folder. Now we have a new Games folder titled "OUYA Game Discussions/Reviews/etc". This is where all specific game discussion will be taking place. See the sticky post in the folder for more details.

Hey, there was a "suggestions" thread a couple of days ago that I can't find now. So I'm just gonna throw a couple in here....

1) Since you have a "Games in development" folder, allowing a post in the "Released games" folder doesn't make a lot of sense. It just turns into another "In development" thread because people still can't play the game. So "Released games" threads should only be for games that have actually been released.

2. IDK if you can fix this or not, but the ad that appears in the first post screws up the formatting (at least in Chrome for Android). That's okay for text, but embedded videos get cut in half, and the side that's gone is the side with the full screen button. So I have to do a search on Youtube if I want to watch it. Considering how many first posts are game announcements with video, this is very annoying.

So I was wondering if you could either force the ad to the top or bottom of the post instead, or (like I've seen in some other forums) break it out as a separate automatically generated second post.

I like that idea. Keeps the ad so we get revenue but makes it so it's not in the way.

This is in relation to the column section.

More and more people are writing quality columns now and the articles are great! One thing that I mind is that some of those articles get lost in the dark and getting pushed to second pages.

Is it possible that each columnist has his/her own Column Name to group up our posts?

Example:
OUYA Columns
-OUYA News
-OUYA Tidbits
-OUYAReview
--#3
--#2
--#1
-Eye on OUYA
-Art Vs. Code

So you would have to click on the Column name to see the numbered articles.


I'm currently linking my past posts at the bottom of each article as a workaround, but I think a way of categorizing would be great.

I don't exactly get what you mean but if it's anything like that other guy's idea. Ugh, nevermind. Let me just try to get what you mean...You go into the Ouya Columns forum which you will see a thread/column by one person. That thread contains a list of all their columns in a single giant thread for direct links. Right?

I will only have that thesaurus column so doing anything that adds layers would be redundant for me.

Nah, I've been up for over twenty hours. I hope to get my (forever) one column stickied in the main forum of Ouya Columns if gets popular so this doesn't apply to me. As long as people post tasty news related to my thesaurus. I'll keep updating it.
