Where did you buy your refurb? I've heard of some issues with the Gamestop units.
Just a heads up from anyone looking to buy a refurbished ouya. I suggest you don't do it. Some of you know that my previous Ouya died and I just mvoed some around from my office and my bed room. Since then I have ordered a refurbished Ouya to fill the gap left in my room but its been up and down.
I know want to forgive people who I have chastised in the past for having a loud fan, clicky/sticking controllers, or bluetooth failure when starting the Ouya up. I thought it was user error most of the time because my Ouya ran along fine (until it died).
Since then and after having my refurb for a month or two I want to let everyone know the build quality was lack luster compared to the Ouya I bought on release day in 2013. The fan: I used to not hear my fan ever even if I streaming HD content to my Ouya with all my other electronics off. It literally had the quietest fan I thought it wasn't running except the slight hum you feel if you touch the console. The new Ouya is definitely louder then my old one. I can hear it across the room over my laptops fan right in front of me so for you guys complaining about the sound I agree now its terrible.
The Controller: The controller I got had sticky triggers like other people have talked about in the past. My old controller which I wasn't using in my twitch cast has no sticky points in any of the buttons or the triggers which confused me since it is almost 2 years old. The new controller buttons get stuck if I'm trying to mash for fist puncher or the like. I can't even get my fiancee to use it when we play multiplayer (so the new controller is connected to the Ouya I only use for videos i.e. netflix/youtube).
The bluetooth failing: I posted once in a thread awhile ago that the bluetooth fails about 1/5th of the time if you have something plugged in while you are starting your ouya. For me it was a Rii mini keyboard with a usb dongle. No matter how many times I tried to start up with it connected it would refuse to initiate the bluetooth if I started with the dongle in. Another reason that Ouya is using the new controller instead of my rii keyboards ( I have 2).
Soooo this is just my experience with it. I hope whoever buys a Refurb won't get burned like I feel like I did. Also a lot of the bad reviewers in the beginning seemed like loud mouths trying to ride the Ouya bashing train but in all actuality I feel like they are closer then I was at the beginning. My first Ouya I gave an 8/10 this one I would give a 5/10 at the most. Be weary of refurbs.

Demos. Don't let them try and more will buy; does it matter if they are happy?
The attitude the developer has displayed toward me by not providing a demo is reciprocated by me not patronizing them.
DRM. Insulting and punishing customers equals increased sales, right?
The attitude the developer has displayed toward me by requiring that I constantly prove I'm not a thief is reciprocated by me not patronizing them.
There's no point in holding them for devs when a regular consumer/player has no way to purchase one.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge ouya supporter. I have 4. Bought my parents one for Christmas as well as build cabinets using them. Am currently building one actually. I'm just getting frustrated not knowing if they are going to be available in the future.

If they have issues, is it worth dumping on anyone.?
Not worth the additional bad PR if you ask me. Fire sale them on ebay or something as "AS IS - May or may not work properly"
