They shouldn't have posted it if it wasn't meant to be posted. They shouldn't have said an update was coming months ago then pull it and say nothing. The silence is the problem.

It's never a bad thing to want to desire more support in the form of an update for something you own. It means that the money and time you paid as an investment towards that product is investing back into you. I'm willing to bet there was miscommunication is the office. If I recall correctly, today was around the original release date of this update. I imagine someone didn't get the memo that it got pushed back.

There was talk of an update in Jaunary/February so it's months overdue technically. Kept pushing it back then stopped talking about it all together and then it became like the OUYA 2...no response. Those are the type of things that get people mad, upset or whatever, especially when there are no signs of life...

Honestly, I don't care about a new update. Love everything as it is and I'm dreading the "social" stuff that everyone wants. I just want having to push 'U' to launch a game turned back into 'O'. I'm old, I don't like change. Get off my lawn!
Ugh, I'm also dreading the social features and hope I can completely turn them off. It's not like the majority of us can use them since our internet connections are so weak thanks to the console's poor wifi.

People act like they're going to add some big ass network or something that would slow the system down. Whenever these social things are implemented, if ever, I doubt it's going to be something that will overtake the system. Probably simple things like send a message or "Hey, Killswitch is kicking ass in Meltdown, go join him". I can't imagine it would take much more space than Eldon's stuff which are very minimal and kind of have some of the functionality I'm expecting like the messages.
Duh, nobody was saying that it was going to change the fate of the planet, and those messages are exactly what I don't want. If there's not an option to block receiving messages or turn it off altogether then I'm going to post a video on YouTube where I break my OUYA with a bat. Oh, and the social features are going to be implemented.

I'm so so with this. I like upgrades/updates and all the new features they bring, but I'm one of those "if it aint broke dont fix it" types, but yet I've got myself into problems by doing updates/upgrades more then once so I always use precaution.
And I dont care about the social features either. Anything thats gonna slow or lag my game/ing/system down is no-go for me. Thats not to say those features will, but I dont use them so its really whatever for me. Atm though I'm happy with my Ouya
and the way things work, and just picked up the gray/silver one too. I am rooted and hope that the update don't brick me. Then again if its just social features and stuff I dont need/use I dont know if I'll take the chance of
updating and ruining/bricking my running setup, so its kind of one of those things you know. I guess i'll just wait until we get there.

Social features that have been talked about for 2 years. You know the rule, when I see it, then I'll believe it. That's like trying to say Chronoblade is coming and getting someone to believe it...it's about time to stop saying it, hinting at it, passing on opportunities to do it and just do it.
