[April Fools] OUYA System Update "Griffon" - Version 1.3.4298

Here's the latest firmware update from OUYA Incorporate. Further information will be added to this post when it's available.

Full Update notes:

-We’ve added more support for OUYA Everywhere.
--This feature will allow you to check what's available on OUYA Everywhere from the details page.
--A symbol for Chinese compatible games will be added in the incoming weeks.
-Bundles now deduct a percentage of a total bundle's price if you already own one of the games.
-The OUYA interface has gone under more under-the-hood improvements.
-Smoother transitioning for DISCOVER.
-Loading times for tiles have been improved
-Fixed an issue where controllers would randomly unpair when idle.
-Changed the timeout for the controller pairing screen to make it shorter.
-Patched a few Android security issues.
-The usual misc bug fixes.

For Developers
-Check OUYA Everywhere statistics straight from OUYA.tv!
--More "Monetization Tips” have been provided.
--Better support for the LOVE engine has been added.
-We've updated the review process to allow developers to see where in the QA process your game is currently at from OUYA.tv.
--Provided improved functionality in MAKE.
--Various typos & other errors fixed.

I can't say this was what I was hoping for in an update (I'm not interested in OUYA Everywhere and I'm not a developer), but hey, smoother experience (shorter loading times, smoother transitioning) is going to pay off big time if you ask me. The impression people get from just browsing a console is not something to just brush away like it's nothing. If things are snappy and smooth, people go "cool", if things aren't, people go "what is this, 1952?".

I was hoping for improved support for external storage, but whatever. They're probably working on social features before that. Though, I suppose it makes sense since it's a bigger priority.

And I'm always just wishing for the ability to create our own subfolders in the PLAY section.

Nowadays I only have three or four games installed at any given point though (to minimize problems), so maybe I don't need subfolders anymore... *fading away*

That would be awesome. I would also like a percentage bar for downloads instead of what we have now.

Edit: Look for a blog post from OUYA Incorporate on OUYA.tv like every other update. I'm curious to see what the griffon looks like.

I'm interested in the loading times for tiles because the blank ones drive me nuts. It is downloading now.

Edit: Umm... the download finished and I don't know if this is under more support for OUYA Everywhere, usual misc bug fixes, or WTFing Hell but what is up with the pop-up that says that I have to pay $5.99 per month if I wish to continue playing the free games? Do we have to start paying for the servers now or something? Didn't they just get $10M? Why do I have to pay a subscription for the free games? This is bull shit! Great one OUYA Inc.!
