Apparently the Shield Portable 2 has just done the rounds in the Bluetooth and WiFi certification websites.

I wonder what SOC they will use for it and how much it will be.

Damn all this stuff coming out. lol! Hmmm.I dont know if I'll get this since I'll probably the home console instead. Then again if the price was super nice its possible, but atm I dont see myself grabbing this one.
I hope they will change that atrocious design. This thing is the ugliest handheld I have seen since the 90's.
Actually the X1 is more efficient than the Tegra 4 . So if it had the same screen (probably won't) and you played the same games on a T4 Shield Portable vs a X1 Shield Portable with the same battery - The X1 should last longer playing a sample of current games - particularly less demanding games. Where it would suck more juice is when you start pushing the X1 close to its limits ie beyond what the T4 would be capable of.
Generally though, it should be better on the battery from a SOC perspective. From a device perspective , if they put a higher res screen in the next Shield portable, then that's a big factor in itself .
On a different note, there has been more news backing up the Shield Portable coming with a Tegra X1 -> http://liliputing.com/2015/03/nvidia...-probably.html. Seems like it will have a bigger screen, probably higher res also
This is pretty cool, but I think with the console coming here hopefully soon, and not pulling a duck move like razer did I'm probably gonna pass on this one.
I have the first one, and it still works perfectly, so I'll probably pass on this one. Thanks for the update though, Victor!
