When Will Ouya 2 be Announced Poll

Time to have a good old fashioned poll on when the Ouya 2 will be Announced.
We know as of Jan that it was planned by this: http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?...sition-at-Ouya. It also seems they stopped making the current Ouya to clear out stock probably as far back as November.

So get your bets in, when will the Ouya 2 be announced. Hit up the public Poll above.

I think there will eventually be updated hardware with the OUYA storefront (or whatever that will morph into) on it, but it will be a China-only Alibaba-box.

You don't clear out old stock by just plain being out of stock - which is what happened with the OUYA. There's got to be something in their dealings with the Chinese that prevents them from making more OUYAs, or they wouldn't have suddenly flat out refused to make the butterfly-in-the-skyblue ones. OUYA, Inc is just a husk briefly animated by the spirit of Alibaba while Uhrmann and buddies prepare to float away on golden parachutes.

Just pure speculation, but I think they can't make anymore Ouya's because they stopped the manufacturing for them. It's possible the Ouya 2 might be being made at a different manufacturer and they stopped all proceedings with the current manufacturer. Alternatively the current manufacturer might have been getting ready to produce the O2 and therefore cant make the current Ouya anymore. Speculation of course.

Honestly I'm a little tired of waiting and hoping for a mystical Ouya 2 that may or may not come into being. For that reason, I chose "Never". Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be proven wrong, but I just don't see it happening at this point.

I think they will have another one later in the year, it seems they are focusing on the Software/OS side at the moment and are hoping to roll right into the fall holidays with an OUYA2.

I like the thought of this, but at least an announcement would be great. I know pricing is going to be a huge topic, but could they be waiting for the right time to announce anything concrete when they know for sure Tegra K1 (at least) are to be inside the Ouya2 while keeping the overall price down and priced to move. I have no idea how much it would cost, but just a random thought that crossed my mind.

Until the beginning of this month, there was still this perception that the Ouya was just going through a stock shortage. Seeing since we went through the Xmas period, that sounded possible. However, as of the beginning of this month we have all started to realize, ok , this isn't a stock shortage. Looking back now, it seems they stopped making the Ouya come November/December (3-4 months ago). Now that we have all begun to realize, it's a matter of time before Ouya devs start to become aware on mass and start rapidly losing faith, then the Ouya development exodus begins. Not to mention the field day the press will have when they realize.

To me, Ouya have got until the end of April at best before the shit hits the fan - and to be honest that's really pushing it. Every day that goes by now, could see this whole current fiasco publicly explode in Ouya's faces.
