I wonder how many TVs will fall victim to flying phones!
I've always wanted to have a Wii-like motion controlled game for the Ouya and today I finally found one on the Android Wear section of the Google Play Store.
Forget all the Android Wear smartwatch hype in the description, all you need to play this game on Ouya with motion controls is an Android phone.
First, you need to download the game itself on the Ouya :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ikacije.tennis
The game has partial controller support, but most of the time you will have to use the touchpad.
Then, you have to download the "racket" app on your smartphone :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....tennisracquet
Then you just have to pair the phone with the Ouya and launch the smartphone app.
Even if it says it's not connected, just ignore that. Launch the game and calibrate your "racket" by following the on-screen intructions.
This game feels like an Ouya port of Wii Sports Tennis. It has a reasonable amount of content with tournaments, leaderboards and even online multiplayer. To take advvantage of all the online features, you may like to install the Google Play Games app.
If someone else install this, PM me for a few online matches.

lol While playing this I keep my phone firmly attached to the palm of my hand with my my running armband. Everyone should take that kind of precautions.
I really want to contact the devs and ask for a proper Ouya port. They could even make a boxing game for people who have a smartphone and a smartwatch.
First of all, welcome to this forum.
As I said your game is already working well on the Ouya but to get a better visibility, you might want to release it on the Ouya official front store called Discover.
I do not speak in the name of Ouya Inc. here but I believe controller support is mandatory for a game to be accepted on Discover. So, what you would have to do is to replace the game touch controls with real controller input. Support for smartphone or smartwatch as a motion controller would be an option for those who want to try that on the Ouya.
The only problem would be the online part which seems to rely on Google Play Games servers for match making. Maybe if one console could host the game for online multiplayer sessions, it could work on Ouya.
Congratulations, when played on the Ouya, your game really feels like an HD version of Wii Sports tennis. And not every developer is able to recreate a Nintendo game.
Thank you very much.
We just uploaded a new version to store which has autocalibration, don't know if Ouya has a magnetometer sensor but if it does, there will be no need to calibrate racket. If for some reason
this doesn't work you can always go to manual calibration within options.
Currently we have been working hard for the last few months to push the game out on android and now we want to see if there will be support from the gamers so that we can continue improving the game.
If this is so we will make an controller support. Btw, what did you have in mind while playing on a controller? Because if you move player and hit ball with controller then using another device as a racket is
not needed. Does Ouya controller have sensors (accelerometer, compass etc...) so we can use it as a racket?
No, the Ouya controller doesn't include any motion sensors. But the Wii Remote is compatible with the Ouya, at least as a regular gamepad.
I haven't tried the touch controls in your game yet. Can you really move the player or do you just control the racket ? Either way, it shouldn't be too hard to reproduce this gameplay with a controller and doing so be eligible for a release on the Discover Store.
I wish you luck on Google Play Store to get noticed but I think your game is better played on the television with motion controls, which is possible on the Ouya.
Take your time to think about it and then if you decide to go for a port, I'm sure there will be a lot of people here to help you with that.
No, you don't move the player, you only hit the ball, that is the reason I don't think that the game would be playable enough if we don't program
player movement also.
Very nice game dfilkovi.
I've played it with the motion control, and also tried the touch screen controls.
I think you can emulate the screen controls you've made by using the two joysticks of the gamepad.
Right joystick is for the forehand, left joystick is for the backhand.
The player still moves on his own. You give a direction with one of the two joysticks and simply release it to make the move.
Example:
With the left joystick, press down-left and release it to send the ball from down-left to top-right.
