The Road to China - An OUYA developer Q & A session.

As you know OUYA is making moves into the Chinese market with Xiaomi and soon Alibaba...maybe someone else will come on board too. Hmmm...

There are some things that you have to do to have your games ready like add the ODK, make an icon or two and localization. Most games here don't have too much text but those who do will want to know how to take care of localization and things like that.

That is what this thread is for. This thread is to help answer questions that you may have or for some of you guys to team up and help each other out.

So who wants to get the ball rolling.

I can help with unity, I did the process and FullBlast is waiting to kick some asses in chinese LOL.

If anyone needs help just post your question, the process is basically the same as translating the game in other languages except for the lack of custom fonts (bitmap fonts like our pixelated font) for chinese

Xiaomi makes controllers but I have not seen it paired with the box. It is available though and it does come with a remote which can be used like a controller like the FireTV.

Some of my games require all the buttons on a standard gamepad, so should I declare "Requires Gamepad" in the game descriptions?

No exact date has been stated publicly but the first batch of games will probably be ready soon, don't know if that includes launching or they'll just be ready to go.

Well, right now I'm really pissed off, the process is taking forever due a bad sdk integration at least using unity, and from the error I'm having the rest of people should be suffering the same issue. I'm not sure right now if I will cancel FullBlast or I will keep playing this play and catch game any longer.

One thing is for sure, this is NOT the kind of advertising that ouya needs.
