Being that I am a Tempest fan and Tempest 2000 is my favorite Video Game of all time, I can give the developer some credit for capturing the look of the game, but that's as far as I can go. It's pretty, but just nthe flat plane, as was said earlier, was just a bad idea. Come on now, I hope that you are planning to expand this. You have the general look and a little bit of the feel of T2K, but after playing TxK for the Vita lately, I just can't get into this game. I give you credit for going it alone, but yeah, add some more levels and the like and you might actually have something here as Tempest is one of the greatest games of all time. I have been T2KFreeker forever, and anyone who is in the jaguar community knows iof me, good or bad, but hey, here I am. That's just my opinion anyway.

I feel you, and I agree on every point. I'd love to expand the game a bit more and am actively working on doing it.

From my perspective, there have been enough Tempest games including all of its sequels across all the different platforms and then Typhoon. Rather than just go down the road of simply remaking Tempest, I wanted to change the gameplay into something fresh. I feel that the Tempest "web shooter" style of game is a genre in itself and can become as well-known and common as "platformer" or "dual stick shooter." Similar to how Space Giraffe explored a different gameplay mechanic than traditional Tempest, I want Cyclone to explore the combo-builder mechanic of not missing a single shot for as long as possible. It gets intense and is a lot of fun! I love games that can be played competitively, and I see this game type as definitely fitting into this well with people around the Internet competing for the highest score.

I totally understand if you're on the fence or have decided not to purchase unless more is added to the game. No hard feelings

I appreciate you taking the time to answer me, and that's cool. My biggest gripe, as fun as the idea of not missing anything is, I really ask you to think about it this way, have qualuity instead of Quantity. I think I speak for some of the peeps that would buy your game when I say, I would rather miss something due to changing stage shapes than due to tons of enemies coming down the pipes at one time. No offense to you, I give you tons of credit for trying to tackle a Tempest style shooter, but still, half of what made Tempest fun was that looming feeling of dream in trying to figure out what the next stages shape would be and how it would effect the movement of your shooter. Learning how to use the shapes of the stages to your advantage was half the fun of the game. That is why I am saying I would like to see more stage types added to your game, because it adds a new level to the challenge, you know? Hell, I would so be down for a great Tempest 2000 clone on the ouya, and I think you have the flair and style here, just needs some fleshing out is all.
