It looks like Beamrider or Tempest.
This is shameless. It's a complete clone of Tempest and the developer also calls the grid you're on "the web". I get that inspiration plays a big part of aspiring indie developers, but this is beyond sad.

I'll give this a try. I've love Tempest games. Tempest 2K for the Jag was a beast and was one of my all time favorites.

I have Tempest 2000 and love it. Not so sure about this, though. I watched the trailer and looked at the pics, and I didn't see anything other than the one horizontal level. If that's all there is, I think this could get boring quickly.
Yeah I like that it is a tempest clone but man you have to at least try to match the original or build onto it. The horizontal line is kinda eh.... A little more work and it could be....
I loved Tempest 2000 on the Jaguar. Note to dev - Get a few more level shapes in there and I'll buy.
Wow, that is even worse than I thought it would be. I played Tempest 2000 last night to capture some test footage from my Jaguar, and it is so much more complex than this game. The fact that this game steals Tempest's visual style and doesn't have a demo makes me feel that the developer is being intentionally misleading by enticing people with what appears to be a Tempest clone but is much, much less.
For comparison to Tempest 2000, here is the video I captured last night.
