Head of Finance Position at Ouya

Yes, I've seen that and read other interviews with Julie. I have no doubt that she was sincere in everything she said, but I also think that it's rather telling that video is almost a year old and still Ouya hasn't actually announced anything other than vaguely "Ouya 2 will come to eventually sometime in the future". That would be as useful as Sony saying that the PlayStation 5 will be available someday.

The point is that Ouya is doing noting to rally its fanbase. I like the Ouya despite a lot of things.

I like Ouya despite its lack of power.
I like Ouya despite its lack of games from Japan.
I like Ouya despite my complaints that the controller has no on/off button and the rear triggers are pretty terrible.
I like Ouya despite the uneven quality of games all over the Discover Store and that there's no way to automatically filter out bad games.

That's why its tough to swallow the "wait and see" approach Ouya is taking with any potential Ouya 2, especially when there are so many other affordable alternatives. If Ouya would only announce something I would wait for Ouya 2, but I'm now instead going to buy a Mojo and maybe even a Forge TV when that comes out and Ouya 2 will need to prove itself if it wants me to buy one.

But I won't sell or even retire my Ouya as long Ouya everywhere remains janky as far as compatibility goes. There are too many good games on Ouya for me to abandon it completely.

If you install Lolipop, wouldn't that remove OUYA Everywhere? It isn't an app, but part of the MOJO firmware I thought?

I asked about that over on xda. Apparently, there is now an exploit that allows Ouya to run on virtually any Android device, and it has much higher compatibility than the official Ouya Everywhere.

I have the Ouya.apk which should launch just fine in Lolipop on Mojo. Of course, this is all information gathered from second hand sources. I can't confirm any of this until I try it myself. Worse case scenario it doesn't work and i can still access anything I want through Ouya Discover on my actual Ouya.

But it does have the potential to completely outclass the Ouya by becoming an Ouya as well as the other things Mojo offers, like native Google Play.

So I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
