Despite successfully, sideloading it, Google Play crashes on Ouya. Help?

I'm trying to get access to the Google Play Store on my rooted Ouya.

    I came across this video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWkTZjA8D6s

I followed everything to the letter and got Google Play installed on my Ouya. But after I launch it and sign in, it kicks me back to the Ouya launcher, and whenever I try to relaunch the Google Play App, it kicks me back out about three seconds later.

I tried what was suggested at the end of the video of going back into Xposed launcher and tried soft reboot and reboot.

Soft reboot freezes the Ouya. I have to manually hold down the power button and turn it off, then turn it back on. That doesn't work at all.

Reboot does reboot the system, but it puts me back at square one. When I try to launch Google Play, it crashes after about 3 seconds.

    Any help?

Try reroot, There are far too many things that could go wrong trying to trouble shoot unconfirmed methods. I can confirm that ReRoot works as not am I a user but also the maintainer.

I find that page awfully confusing. What do I sideload on my Ouya? I looked all through the links, and eventually found one I don't have: busybox.apk

Do I download and install that?

Currently, I have a program called RootMyOuya that when launched, has a button that says "Root" and shows Status. When I launch that, it says my Ouya is already rooted.

Sorry to be such a noob about this. I really am new to your instructions.

DO you have a video tutorial? That would help me understand greatly.

You need to have adb (Android Debug Bridge) installed on a computer on your network. It's basically a commandline interface that lets you interact with your ouya if you have adb ove network enabled in your developer options on the ouya. Installing adb will vary based on your operatieng system, but once you have that figured out, this is really quite easy because all you have to do is litterally copy the text into your terminal and follow the instructions. It takes no more than a couple minutes, and I have never had any issues with google play via this method (apart from occassionally having to clear the cache in the system menu).
