    CogWorks - Mayhem

    Title.jpg

    What is CogWorks - Mayhem?

CogWorks is a Singleplayer / Multiplayer game based on the premise of 'Blast Chamber' for the PS1.
Blast Chamber is a game that sets you in the center of a cube with multiple obstacles that often times the room rotates.

CogWorks has a Single Player and Multiplayer mode that works in it's own way.

Single Player mode is all 1p and your goal is to collect as many diamonds from each stage as possible. Quickness is the key. some stages have a longer bomb life than others. though you have to watch out for hazards that will take you out. from falling off the stage to acid and possibly steamwork monsters.

Check out a alpha preview. this preview just shows a proof of concept

    Single Player

Each level has it's own hazards, bomb time limit and diamonds to collect.
    CGWks.jpg
Note that the levels are still being designed in the above picture but each level requires a certain amount of diamonds to unlock. (Which isnt shown in the picture)

    Sewers.jpg
Some single player levels have some interesting mechanics to avoid while getting those diamonds. the harder levels earn you a diamond obtain modifier doubling up on your quest to get as many diamonds as possible to unlock various features of the game.

    Multiplayer

    Mplayer.jpg

While I am still working on the mechanics in singleplayer to be ironed out. Multiplayer will be a deathmatch arena. There will be 12 stages to
brawl it out in. Each with their own hazards. Starting out is 2 available stages. The rest has to be unlocked via obtaining singleplayer diamonds. after obtaining diamonds you select a level to unlock and unlock them. each one has their own cost.

    Modifiers

There will be 20 game modifiers (That has to be unlocked) that will alter the matches. some are player based. team based or even arena based. I wont spoil them. but unlocking them all will be a challenge.

There will be a bit more down the pipeline. Tell me what you would like to see in the game. We may even give out betas on the official website. the game itself is about 43% completed. We are considering taking early purchases to help fund the game and reward those early purchasers with the earlybird unlockable content (which is only available by earlybird buyers). The unlockable content would be the ability to unlock 5 new levels. new character type and new modifiers.

Greetings Everyone. I posted a trailer video on the main OUYA Page but I'll post it here for record sake:
    https://plus.google.com/100271512527...ts/KuNah4FRvjc

The fun part would be the hazards. If you play single player you are basically walked through in each stage the hazards you encounter.
Those hazards are in Multiplayer. You can select modifiers to adjust your gameplay. But the fun part is the Gold Goal Gem.

The Goal gem can help you or hurt your opponents. there is only one per stage. if you capture the gem and put it on your OWN color your time increases by +20 seconds. if you put it on your Opponents color their time decreases by -30 Seconds. You can steal it from your opponent by doing some QTE style gameplay. if your near the person. press the 'U' button to initiate it. there will be random button presses that you OR the opponent must match out of 3 attempts. the highest steals or keeps the goal. looser is stunned for 3-5 seconds. or a modifier will take 10-15 seconds off your time.

Main OUYA page? Does G+ even get more than a handful of views per day? I always see the same few names and that's it.

Anyway, looks like you had some good progress.

    Hey Everyone,

I didnt want to do a new post so I thought i'd necro this old one.
Just letting everyone know that all of our games will be fully supported on the OUYA till days end. And even beyond that depending on what we have to do to keep things going.

With that said. I have submitted CogWorks - Mayhem to the OUYA submissions dept for review and should be up soon. Please use this thread to post any requests you'd like to see and bugs you may encounter.

Sorry it took a while but everything financial is hitting our team. I'll be the one supporting the OUYA products for Wildcard Studios

No problem. I have always loved OUYA and will always use it. it's one of my favorite consoles by far. it has a lot of potential once used right. I'm not the type of developer that drinks from the Kool-aid and leave once it's empty.
