For anyone who watches lots of youtube; If you used to have troubles signing in Kodi uses the new 5.x plugin of Youtube and allows you to sign in via youtube.com/activate which is cool. : )

I've tried installing the latest version of kodi and it just goes back to the launch screen before it finishes starting the program. The official xbmc and gotham seem to work fine on my ouya

zcars, I can assure you that is not normal. You likely have an XBMC plugin or setting that is killing it, do keep in mind that if KODI sees a valid Gotham install it will try to migrate your settings and data into KODI.

Had no problems at all running Gotham on my Ouya, but I haven't tried the new Kodi variant yet. Had some playback issues at one point with the Ouya store XBMC which I seem to remember were remedied by installing Gotham. They exist independently of each other on the Ouya when installed, neither one causing any trouble for the other, if that's useful.

I got the videos from this site: http://www.elecard.com/en/download/videos.html
Sadly, most of them are in x265 containers which KODI doesn't recognize, but the "Big Buck Bunny" and the "Elecard 4K video about Tomsk, part 1" videos are in readable ts format. Go ahead and test them yourself. 720p works well to my surprise. I probably played the 1080p version and confused it for 720p when I tested them.
