How well does it do with x265? I would imagine that puts a bit of a strain on it since it has to decode the x265 via software and not hardware. Care to post the codec specs of the x265 files you tested?

I got the videos from this site: http://www.elecard.com/en/download/videos.html
Sadly, most of them are in x265 containers which KODI doesn't recognize, but the "Big Buck Bunny" and the "Elecard 4K video about Tomsk, part 1" videos are in readable ts format. Go ahead and test them yourself. 720p works well to my surprise. I probably played the 1080p version and confused it for 720p when I tested them.
