Google Play was hit hard by the race to the bottom and that's probably because the late start they had when compared to the Apple ecosystem. Apple was already going in that direction when Android finally got a strong foothold. At that point you had so many apps and games come in that people were trying to get downloads and be seen. This made it so that free crap was beating out everything else and it still continues. Hell, even today you find people not wanting to pay $3 for a game.
Still curious on the Amazon side of things. But you make it sound like you did well there.
