DDR, stepmania, ITG

Hello guys, i'm a developer of BeatX which is basically Stepmania for Android. Have you tried that?

I somehow ended on this forum so it's just a quick shot.

After a little research it seems you can install the standard Android market (http://goo.gl/xSyyEl) so installing and running BeatX should not be a problem.
It already supports dancemats, keyboards and gamepads + you can change the key/button bindings so i see no trouble there.

If you have any trouble running this just write here or better send an email to beatx( at )maniacs.sk, i can make a few adjustments.

And btw. double and versus mode is going to be added within a week so could be really fun to see it work with OUYA

Well that depends on the amount of people interested.
In general i would like to focus more on the native Android version and better add new functionality than supporting a platform with just a few players (time is the issue here). I mean i have to go where the users are.

Don't get me wrong - i would like to make this native, there is just not enough time.
I will take a look at the monetization options for ouya (My ecosystem kinda depends on Google Play Achievements, Leaderboards, Licences, Ads e.t.c. - so this generates a lot of work for ports)

According to the video i posted it seems to be quite simple to get the android market working even for inexperienced people + the tons of apps from the market are worth it anyway.

Don't take this as a promotion, i'm just trying to help the guys run the game on OUYA, if there would be some issues with the game, i will try to make a fix.

No I don't root and I use Discover. It is no big problem I was just asking to know if you needed any help getting started with them.
