Battle High 2 - Mattrified Games

Welcome to San Bruno High School for The Elementally Advanced!

A new breed of human had evolved -- one that could not only manipulate the elements of earth, fire, sky, water, and electricity, but manifest them as well. This comic-book-like phenomenon was investigated by government and scientists for years, but their work always came back inconclusive as to how or why some individuals were able to command the elements in such a way.

These individuals, dubbed Elementals, faced severe segregation and prejudice from a terrified public. Peaceful protests ensued, and soon, the fear mongering disappeared in many areas except for a few, one of which was schools. Schools were still separated between normal and elemental children because of the actual danger posed by Elementals just learning to use their powers.

One of these schools is known as San Bruno where Elementals learn all the things that normal American students do but also to harness and control their powerful abilities, known as Elemental Chi. There, a dangerous gang known as "The Rivals" resides. Made up of the most popular and dangerous students, they rule the school, under the radar of the faculty, striking fear into others. Some strive to stop their reign of intimidation while others just try to survive.

Are you kidding me $1.99! That's outrageous! I almost expect Crazy Eddie to appear out of thin air to tell me how insane he is to be selling this product for such a low price.

Honestly, I have only had the time to install Battle High 2 and play a couple of matches, but that's more than enough to say this game is a steal at $1.99 so make sure to pick it up.

My first thoughts are that it really captured the style and sounds of classic old school fighters, and it looks fantastic. I was worried about the lag issues that I have always had with my OUYA controllers, but on single player there hasn't been a problem. I will play around with it some more and comment when I have more time, but this was a definite purchase for me.

I already bought it, I love the game so far, and there are unlockable thingies in the Journal section, nice touch! So far a fantasatic game and a must have for any fighter fan

Bought it love it. This has been on my radar for awhile I always thought it would be pretty good but damn I didn't think it would be this good. The gameplay is really smooth and the visuals are great too this is a must buy!!!! Only thing it needs is online

Looks like I need to fire up the old Ouya. This looks fantastic.

I've had the game for years on the 360, so yeah, this is an excellent addition to anyone's Ouya collection. The price is right and the game is outstanding. It will be on my Ouya on the first. Wish I had the money now. You guys just got one of the best Fighters you will have on the Ouya just now!

Glad it's being well-received! I haven't played this version of the game since some of the earlier betas so I'm very excited to try it out. I'm not anywhere in the vicinity of my OUYA for a few days though so it'll have to wait

Oh, forgot to mention online play to it, d'oh! (to the blog post, not the game; I know it's not in the game.). I wanna do online, but it's pretty difficult; I have an idea how to do it, but it'll take some time. I'm thinking of using Photon for Unity which will allow you to play PC users as well as other OUYA users. Regardless, if you have any issues with the game, just post them here, or message me, or post them on the FaceBook page.
