Pixel Sword - Homeworld Arts LLC

This thread is for the discussion of Pixel Sword. Note to the developers, if you wish to take ownership of this thread, please let me know.

Adventure through action packed levels filled with evil skeleton armies, goblins, mutant plants, and evil wizards. The only protection you have is your trusty pixel sword, it's dangerous to go alone. Defeat challenging enemies with your sword fighting skills. A classic side-scrolling quest inspired by the 8bit and 16bit eras of gaming. Unlock cool skins, collect heart containers, and challenge powerful enemies.

    - Unique monsters
    - Handcrafted levels
    - Fast paced melee combat
    - Low res pixel art
    - A game for the 80's kid in everyone
    - An adventure of pixelated proportions
    - Great for kids & adults

At first this games seems like a Zelda II: the Adventure of Link style platformer but it's missing two key elements: a shield that actually protects you and the ability to duck. It's a fun, functional platformer but nothing too deep.

Was a great way to spend 15 minutes!

It's funny, but this simple little game actually got platformer/jump-and-poke-things-to-death controls to be more intuitive and clean than almost every other one on the OUYA.

This game is really fun. My only complaint though is the graphics, they look more like mspaint than real/consistently-styled pixel art. The walking animations look especially bad. But that didnt stop me from enjoying this one. Good game. Keep at it. Not many people actually care about graphics when it comes to indie games anyway. The gameplay is where it matters most and it passed the test.
