New Ouya and controller is going crazy. Even tried with a know working controller.
Hit up or down key one time and it may scroll 10 times up or down. Some times scrolls over and over again until I hit another button.
Tried with another know working controller from another working Ouya and same issue.
Does not matter how close I am do it and if how its facing me.
Very frustrating!
Never have had this issue with my launch day Ouya.

Was the first thing I tried, sadly not that.
Also tried repairing a few times, no difference.
Basically unusable because of this.
My ouya does this from time to time. I thought it was bluetooth distance related.

Yea not that far though and even does it from 3 feet from the damn tv.
Ugh! Guess I will be trying a different type of remote, like a XboX controller.
My Ouya does this from day one. I have tried with different controllers, distances, and with another Ouya (fortunatelly sold by now) and is always the same. The Ouya controllers sucks and any game that require precise moves are unusable. Thats why my last Ouya is now gathering dust in a corner beside my other "real" game systems. Sad as it sounds...
Sounds like a possibly bad controller, have you contacted support about this issue?

My OUYA doesn't have that much of an issue with the controller, minus some lag. I'm thinking of sending my controller firmware in to be updated like I've read some people here have done . Anyone have any luck with that?
Still an issue and will be contacting support after the holidays.
So annoying. Only problem I have with Ouya. Does everything else I need it to do at the moment. Though I was hoping for a hardware update like what was promised originally back while on Kickstarter.
Any update? My controller had been doing somewhat the same as yours. Thinking bout sending it in too
