2 silver controllers here. I rarely play with friends though so I really only need one.

Never hurts to have a spare, I suppose.

I figured I had more friends up for couch gaming than was reality. No biggie, I got the second one cheap on Amazon. I got my brother and his wife a bronze Ouya with two controllers and I am sure they only use one as well. You are right though, never hurts to have a spare for the kiddies.

Just the one retail launch controller. I use 4 ps3 and 4 Logitech F310 controller on it for all my gaming. I rarely ever touch the Ouya controller, unless there is a specific need to use it.

I have 4 and picked up new faceplates for 3 of them. I also have an xbone and a 360 and I prefer the ouya controller over the others because they ffit my hands much better though the sticks are nicer on the xbox controllers. I really hate the playstation controllers, which is why I don't own that system.

I only have one OUYA controller as of now. I do plan on getting another one though. It doesn't hurt to have a spare controller.

I got 4, wanted to test my four-player game out on OUYA controllers (Okay, so the game might have been an excuse to buy more pads) ;-)
    ---
Three of my OUYA controllers haven't really been used since; I get a lot of slow down when more than one are connected. (It could just be my console)
Luckily, I can borrow the kids' PS3 controllers when they want to join me on multiplayer (assigned as players 2-4).
For one player OUYA, I still prefer the OUYA controller (assigned as player 1). It feels much nicer!
For emulators I have both types of controller on standby. I'm happy using either, depending on whether it should use d-pad or stick (PS3 for NES, Mega Drive, PS1 etc; OUYA for NeoGeo, MAME, Atari, Spectrum) :-)
