    Back To Bed - Bedtime Digital Games

    This thread is for the discussion of Back To Bed. (note to developer - send me a private message if you would like to edit this thread)

    Back to Bed is a 3D puzzle game set in a unique and artistic dream world, wherein you guide the sleepwalker Bob to the safety of his bed. To achieve this, you must take control of Bob’s subconscious guardian named Subob. The pair travels through a surreal and painting-like dream world, filled with objects used to guide Bob towards the Bed, but also dangers that must be avoided!

    =========

    “Back to Bed manages to simultaneously be predictable and surprising, sleepy and lively, scary and comforting—just like any good piece of Surrealist art.” - Killscreen

    “Back to Bed is what happens when you let Dali, Escher, and Magritte develop a game.” - PowerUpGaming.co.uk

    “What you see isn’t always what it seems, and the moments that use these ploys are some of the best Back to Bed has to offer. It’s mindbending and an utter delight.” - Twinfinite

    I absolutely love this game, visually beautiful and the puzzles are extremely fun! My only gripe is they could have used more of the impossible illusions, just as how the fish is used to bridge an otherwise impassable area. If there is ever a part 2 "Back to Bed Again perhaps?" then it will be an instant buy for me.

    This game is gorgeous asthetically. It's weird, creepy and unreal.
    The game play is ok with a few nice mechanics but nothing too fancy.
    I played through the normal game now and I find it a little short. There's a nightmare mode which seems to be the same levels but harder? Haven't played those yet.
    For the asking price I would expect at least another world of 12 levels, but I'll have to check out the nightmare levels.
    Is it worth it? Yes, definitely, it's very well made thoguh not too challenging. If I would go back and buy it again I would wait for a sale for $3 or $2.

    The Google Play reviews were stating control problems with positioning the pointer for the blue dog to follow. Is it imprecise?

    Anyway, I won't be playing this until a demo comes out.

    I actually bought my copy on Google Play and played it on my ouya, if you do go this route you will need to have the MOGA support enabled on your device and for the application. I can not imagine that the OUYA version would handle any differently. There is no positioning the pointer with the Controller support, the controllable character simply goes where you push the Left Joystick.

    As for the Nightmare mode, it is the same levels, but with the added problem of grabbing keys that are scattered around the level. The position of the keys adds a whole now degree of difficulty to the game. I too wish the game had just one more set of levels though heh.

    OUYA Incorporate: You did a great job showing off what this game contains thanks to your Twitch stream. I will purchase the game when I have time to sit down and invest my time in it.
