I understand your opinion but with voice chat, devs can help the new devs making games a lot more easy!
I think the voice chat channel group can be only for ouyaforum members.... (zello can do this)

I understand that OUYAForum is a beacon for developers but again, there's nothing stopping you guys from talking to each other right now. The website doesn't need any alterations or additions to it to add a feature that's already widely available to everybody which is called the internet. Even if it was necessary,Eddie K isn't even here to install add-ons so this is a no-go.

Its probably worth looking into what it would take to have such a thing. Perhaps its as easy as setting up a group on Zello or some other voice chat site, and linking to it from this forum. Who knows, worth looking into though IMO. I think if your going to go down the path of you can do that elsewhere, then you could have said that about the chatbox also. That seems to have worked out well.

I think the idea is interesting. However, given the extra things it would take to moderate such a thing (because I think they would want to, given that it's part of a moderated site), I think making it actually belonging to or as part of the forum would only be doable if the staff is willing to do it. And if not, I understand.

The same goes for the chatbox. It's something they were willing to do. It is arguably much easier to keep an eye on (right on the site, no headphones needed, etc.), but all the same.

Someone else setting one up and the staff letting the link be around somewhere, even just having a thread dedicated to it, would be a nice in-between. Then see what happens from there. Who knows, maybe it'll turn out all awesome and convince the staff to change their mind.

OUYAForum Staff will not be moderating such a thing on top of everything else and hiring new Voice Chat specific Staff just for that seems erroneous given how haphazardly transient a voice chat feature is. If you must talk with other members then I suggest you go with my previous idea by setting appointments with people via a thread here. What you use to communicate is whatever you guys figure out for yourselves.

Regarding OUYAForum Staff allowing links and all that... We didn't back Eldon's IRC as everybody wanted to remain segregated for one reason or another and we're going to remain that way. This means that having OUYAForum.com's or OUYAForum Staff's backing in any way, shape, or form isn't happening to remain fair to the other people including Eldon but that isn't the only reason. When (not if) issues arise on the Voice Chat then we're not going to be liable for anything that comes of it. If you must have one then follow these guidelines:

- You can only create one thread in Site Discussion pertaining to this idea.
- You can include information about it in your signature as long as it isn't obtrusive and/or obnoxious in any way, shape, or form. You also can't talk about it anywhere else outside of private discussions with other members, the thread in Site Discussion you make for it, or anything else that doesn't keep it an isolated entity. This means no direct mention about it in posts or even alluding to it as it will at the very least face removal.
- Do not associate it OUYAForum in any way, shape, or form. This includes using our assets, site name, or anything else that could ever possibly link association with the two groups amongst other things.
- Do not try to recruit OUYAForum Staff to moderate your Voice Chat. It's their choice to come to you and won't be accepted the other way around.
- Problems bleeding out onto the forum or chatbox from the Voice Chat will be handled with a heavy hand by OUYAForum Staff. We're not here for troublesome people who have petty differences with each other to gripe at each other in more ways than one.
