I would think refreshed interface and a few new features would make it feel next gen enough for me. Maybe a couple new input types and new accessory too
Oh and a spanking new controller with slim hand grips and improved triggers haha
Guys we are talking about feel. I am sure the hardware will be upgraded. Maybe not to what people want or expect but that is a whole different thread. We have a few dozen of them around here
I would like to see more internal storage (just a bit) and streamlined external storage. A true offline mode integrated in the UI. and all of the hardware quirks addressed. I would be happy with a modest performance increase in the CPU/ram area.
I would expect a OUYA 2 exclusive section of Discover so Developers can, if they wish make games that make the most of the new hardware yet are not restricted by making them run on the old OUYA 1.
Anything that allow the Ouya to run real games like Modern Combat without the need to turn off every visual enhancements to get 1-2 fps, decent support for external drives, more USB ports, controllers that don´t copy your moves a week later, Bluetooth and WiFi that can work together instead of fight together, more ram, more internal storage, SD card slot...
So many things i believe that will never be done.
Ouya time has passed, the market has changed, many new kids on the street, sorry...
Tegra K1. Tegra K1 can run Unreal Engine 4, and I imaging that since OUYA 2 won't have to worry about having a high-resolution touch screen or long battery life, as long as it keeps the old controller (This is up for ebate, but I'm fine with it, except for the latency issues) then I think it's very possible (an tatalising) that we could have a sub-$200 Android gaming console that can play Unreal Engine 4 games. Oh yeah, I really wish they could have more internal storage as well. If they start doing what happened with the Shield and port console titles to OUYA 2, then they're going to need that extra storage.
Lastly, they need to work on latency. The OUYA controller lags like hell and I am only surviving my time with OUYA because my setup puts it right beside me and my broadband router as I play.
It will need to have more social features like friend lists, game invite, trading, achievements. More storage, better external storage options, lots of new games, and the K1 everyone wants. I wouldn't mind it having the same UI as long as they add new features and remove bugs. But it definitely needs more games and really good exclusives or people won'y have a need to play it. I would love to see a trading card game on the Ouya like Yugioh, that let's you trade with friends or a pokemon/digimon style game with hundreds of different things to catch but with good looking monsters like pokemon and not digimon. Also the currently under develop game Megaman X Corrupted game would be nice to play on the Ouya: https://www.facebook.com/JKBGames
Ouya Inc. seems really quiet. I hope the Ouya 2.0 will be great. Maybe it will be released for the upcoming holiday seasons.
For me, Ouya 2 must have this:
*Social features like achievements, friend lists, game invite and a social network integrated into the console like Miiverse.
*More storage. 8 GB is really low. Just increasing it to 64 GB or 128 GB will be OK.
*Better controller. Just take the current and add vibration, gyrometers, accelerometers, microphone, etc.
*Tegra K1. Well, in order to atract people who only looks hardware specs to buy things. For me, It's unnecesary because Tegra 3 is really good if you optimize hard but still...
*A camera for enjoying video-chatting features, a camera integrated in the Ouya system would attract more people. And developers can use the camera to create new gaming controls based on body motion.

Honestly, if the OUYA 2 has friends list and chat, I'll be elated. But the $100 price point is a MUST.
