Unity3D + Toon Level Kit from Assets Store.

Not bad, I planned in one of my past games to use that kit, but then I refused because of losing the game art exclusivity.

    Looks nice!

It looks very nice indeed, it's also an interesting track which is what so many Kart games fail at.

I find the car pulls to either side a little too easy if you have been turning for a while.

I also fell through the road a few times, below I caught it on video.
Yeah the kart pulling to the side is a bit of a tricky issue. It's on the top of the fix list . And in the next update the colliders on the track will be a lot higher (so you cant fall off as easily)!

Thanks for the comments everyone! I'll hopefully be submitting a new update by the end of the this week.

No update since two weeks ?

in my mind, it is interesting to have quick updates for this project and some posts here. To follow and encourage it. It seems to be at this alpha development stage but you already put it on the ouya market page as (a not yet completed but) finished product !

    Have a nice day.

Updates can take far longer then you expect, things can pop up very easily.

Our update was meant to be out in September and its only just gone in for final review last night, hopefully they are working hard on it.

Hey I am definitely hard at work on the next update and I respond to posts on this thread very quickly. As rosse119 mentioned, the OUYA review process can take a while. In this games case it will usually take anywhere from 2 - 7 days for a review. The OUYA folks have told me this takes longer because of the multiplayer component.

So to give everyone an update as to where things are at. I am revamping the existing interface so it looks a lot nicer. I am changing it over from using OnGUI to NGUI (people familiar with Unity know what this is). Another issue I am trying to tackle is the vehicle pulling to the side of the tracks. This bug is a deal breaker right now and I've been trying to get this fixed, but it is really strange and I haven't been able to nail it down yet.

Also - I have recently fully ported the game over to the Playstation Vita and Playstation TV. The game will be launching on those platforms next (no time frame yet) and will be fully cross platform multiplayer with the OUYA. I need to add splitscreen to the PSTV yet, but that's not a priority until after I get out the next update for Super Kart Mania.

I am also working on an in-game track editor. So players can make tracks and share them with each other. All in-game on your console.

So lots of good stuff happening, but it's not quite ready for an update. The game is stable on the OUYA so I haven't felt the need to push an update yet. Regarding this being an alpha game but being on the market as a finished product - I haven't ever said this is an alpha - and there is nothing forcing you to purchase the game. The entire game is free to play with minor restrictions. If you pay, you get more characters, karts and unlimited online play. That's it. The characters and karts are purely cosmetic and will not change the gameplay at all. Eventually I would like to add more modes which will eventually move past the paywall - but initially they will be playable on the free side as well.

Lastly, keep in mind I am the sole developer on this game and I am also working on my other game Astraea (the mini-game version Astraea: ASW is on the OUYA), so my time is spent between both games.

Hope that clears up any confusion and as always your feedback and suggestions help a lot!

Fixed the karts randomly tugging to the left or right when you were near the side of the track. Also prepped some behind the scenes things for the next patch (submitting it next week) which will revamp the main menu along with the ingame GUI.

I should mention I try to fit in as much details inside the "What's New" page inside the game (on the main menu).
