working wireless keyboard and mouse for ouya

I recently tried adding my wireless kekyboard/mouse to my ouya but did not have success. the keyboard is probably over 5-6 years old as well and with the reciever plugged into the usb from what I saw the devices were paired. any tips on how to get it working or does anyone know of a recommended list of keyboard/mouse combos?

My Hausbell Mini H7 works like charm. In fact, most newer USB keyboards and mice seem to work.

cool thanks I have a feeling my keyboard/mouse is just old. was there any thing specific you had to do to pair the device and does it interfere with the controller if your using both?

It probably is. If you search around in this section you will find many posts like yours with lots of members listing the various ones we use. Most work well.

I didn't have to do anything special other than plug it in. Works like a charm right out of the box.
It does interfere with some games, a known problem with how controllers are programmed, but it's easily fixed by unplugging it. It's a common occurrence with all HIDs other than the OUYA controller.

yeah I bought an ihome combo of wireless keyboard and mouse. I thought I could just leave it plugged in. Nope. Tried to load towerfall, crash. Tried to have plugged in with an Xbox controller. Xbox controller only responded sometimes....in the system menu. Looks like ill just have to plug it in as needed.

The biggest reason I got it was to tool around with AIDE. Which I have no idea how great it is for game making on the ouya. I imagine resources would have to be on an external drive, but that's beside the point. 2ndly hoping it works with Order and Chaos...if anybody is still playing it. I had fun but chat was a chore.

Does anyone know if you can use your keyboard and mouse with games on limelight bte?

Maybe you need a USB power hub because your pulling to much power causing it to only recognise 1 thing, also have you tried pairing to the ouyas Bluetooth rather than the dongle?
