I've been using my Ouya for over a year (thus no more warranty coverage) and just last week the ethernet jack (RJ-45) failed. ie no connectivity on the router at the other end.
I tried connecting the network cable to another device and it works fine, so the problem is not the cable.
Temporarily, I've reverted to wifi which works fine, but causes all sorts of buffering delays while watching video content. But it confirms that it's not a software issue or something similar with the network stack.
Based on the above, I can reasonably conclude that the problem indeed is with the actual network connector on the Ouya.

I opened the unit, took out the pcb and noticed that the connector is in fact loose on the board. Wiggling the cable in at various angles in the connector worked temporarily, but no longer.
Also, that connector looks like it houses more than just a passive rj-45. It looks like there's a small circuit board behind it, so replacing it with a new one might not be as straightforward as I would like.

So, how do I go about finding a replacement RJ-45 for the Ouya? Is there a part number I can search (there's nothing on the component)? Or is there another creative way I can fix this?
thanks for your help!
