I just picked up a Gamestick recently through the price drop at Gamestop. Saw "Shaq Down." Thought, "This should be good for a laugh." It wasn't. It was completely unplayable. You're supposed to jump up and down using the joystick to move between floors, except the jumps do not work AT ALL. Sometimes the joystick fails to work ON THE MENU. It's not the controller, because other games I've tried work fine. How that one got past Gamestick's curators is completely beyond me. This is why I like Ouya's method of just letting things through and letting the word of mouth decide a game's fate. Cream rises to the top. On Gamestick, you assume because they curate their library more that broken messes like these would not make it through, but somehow, they still do. Without any form of demo model in place to boot, you inevitably end up spending money on broken games that never should have been released. It may not happen often, but with the submission requirements Gamestick is supposed to have, it shouldn't happen at all.
